My Story

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, painful experiences, difficult relationships, or patterns from the past begin to affect how you see yourself and the life you're living. You may find yourself constantly overthinking, putting everyone else's needs before your own, struggling to trust yourself, or feeling disconnected from the person you want to become. Whether you're navigating trauma, relationship challenges, low self-worth, or a difficult season of life, you deserve a space where you can heal, rediscover your strengths, and develop the confidence to move forward.

I am a clinically licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Manhattan, Kansas, with a passion for empowering women and adolescent girls to become confident, resilient, and secure in who they are. I specialize in treating trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, shame, relationship difficulties, and identity concerns. I have particular experience working with developmental and complex trauma, helping clients understand how past experiences shape their beliefs, relationships, emotional well-being, and sense of self.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that every person has inherent worth, unique strengths, and the capacity for meaningful growth. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to empower you to develop greater self-trust, establish healthy boundaries, strengthen your identity, and build fulfilling relationships. Together, we'll work toward healing painful experiences, overcoming patterns that keep you stuck, and developing the emotional resilience and confidence to navigate life's challenges.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other trauma-informed approaches. Treatment is tailored to your individual needs, values, and goals, with an emphasis on both practical skills and deeper, lasting healing.

Christian/Catholic counseling is an important part of my practice, and I welcome opportunities to integrate faith, Scripture, prayer, and Christian/Catholic values into the therapeutic process for clients who desire it. I believe that emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being can be deeply connected, and faith can provide a meaningful foundation for healing, identity, hope, and personal growth. Whether you're seeking to strengthen your relationship with God, navigate spiritual struggles, or better understand your identity through your Christian/Catholic faith, I offer a space where your beliefs can be honored and incorporated into treatment. Clients of all faith backgrounds and beliefs are welcome, and spiritual integration is always guided by your preferences.

I am especially passionate about helping women and adolescent girls recognize their worth, find their voices, develop independence, and build lives that reflect their values rather than the expectations or limitations others have placed upon them. Therapy is not simply about understanding what has happened to you; it is also about discovering who you are, recognizing what you're capable of, and learning to approach yourself and your future with greater compassion, courage, and confidence.

You don't have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. You deserve a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged to grow. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you heal, embrace your strengths, deepen your sense of self-worth, and build a life rooted in faith, resilience, confidence,

and purpose.
